Looking Forward

As a citizen of the world, first and foremost, I want to ensure that the work I embark on is in fact impact-driven and life-centric. Perhaps that’s a tall order, but I know I have the business background, the technical mindset and the design lens that a true change maker needs.

Becoming: Kosha Consulting Inc.

I knew coming out of my graduate program, I had reflected and processed a criterion for the sort of work I wished to do, which included:
• Work that was impact-driven;
• Work I was passionate about; and of course
• Work that was fun!
I decided to lean into my inner entrepreneur and landed on a name for my company that aptly took my identity into account. First, my parents, who have supported and allowed me to grow into the person I am (my company name is an anagram of one of my parent’s names), and secondly, it’s a Sanskrit word, as is my own name. I landed on the name, “Kosha Consulting Inc.” The word, ‘kosha’ is a layer and each person has five layers or koshas:
1. Physical;
2. Energy;
3. Mind;
4. Wisdom; and
5. Bliss.
I feel humbled, honoured and empowered to work under such a strong and inspiring brand and hope to take on more projects that maintain both a human-centric and life-centric view.

IBM Canada Ltd: A History

I had the amazing opportunity to start my career at IBM, a very large organization that has undergone change and continues to challenge itself at the global scale. Beginning my career at IBM as a Management Consultant, I worked closely with senior executive leadership across various industries including: oil & gas, lottery and gaming, mining, hydro, paper & pulp, insurance, and the public sector (just to name a few). I learned how to lean into my ability to remain grounded in high-intensity situations all the while adopting a growth mindset and a sense of humour to match. It was during my time at IBM that I became more intentional about my career to ensure that I was in fact authentic in my approach to work. To learn this at such a young age is a true testament to the environment I was able to create for myself in my workplace and surround myself with mentors who guided me to always maintain a sense of purpose and belonging.
